A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents,

A warm welcome to the Website of the Adventist International School, Negombo!

The purpose of this website is to provide parents, students, and our school community with easy access to a wealth of information about the Adventist International School, Negombo.

Located in this beautiful coastal city, the school is a part of the global Seventh- day Adventist system of education which includes over 8,500 schools, colleges, and universities around the world.

The motto, “Wisdom for now and Eternity” clearly indicates the mission of the school. We have dedicated faculty and staff who train students and mold them to be self-confident, and efficient, so that when they enter the world after their studies, they would face various challenges with courage determination and success.

Our main aim is clearly stated by Mrs. E.G. White, “True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study. It means more than a preparation for the life that now is. It has to do with the whole being and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers. It prepares the student for the joy of service in this world and for the higher joy of wider service in the world to come.” Education,p.13.

Our main focus is that children grow and develop mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. We believe that each child is unique and has potential. We have high expectations for the students and we thrive to help our children grow into achieving these goals and the objectives.

At AIS students study in a friendly environment, hence I believe this is the right place for your child to learn and grow to work in unity, sharing God’s love. Thus at AIS we prepare students to be worthy citizens of this world and the world to come.

Visiting our website will help you to get a clearer understanding of the academic programs and the other activities of the school. Place your trust in us and we will harbour you safely to reach the set goals.

I wish all of you good health and God’s blessings! Sincerely yours,
Mrs. Joy Kumara
Principal
